Plan: rectangular, oriented with the long sides from N- W; entrance from N, miḥrāb recessing from the qiblāh wall in the S; in the E-W wall two buttresses corresponding with similar ones in the N wall, all rectangular in section, and two free-standing columns with Tuscan capitals in the center. The mosque has two naves and six cross-vaulted bays parallel to the qiblāh wall. The arches span on three short columns and cubic postaments. The outdoor riwāq has an additional external miḥrāb. There is an external stair in the west side to reach the top of the mosque and new muṣallā extension for women. The short square minaret has been recently added and is now located towards the W on top of the women's prayer hall. It has been constructed around 2010 and another metal one abovethe riwāq was added few years later.

Measurements: 90m2 capacity ca. 125 indiviuals (old part only, Khateb 2020)

Interior: 11.75-11.79 m (N-S) x 7.80-7.82m (E-W) (Khateb 2020).

Exterior: ca. 9.6 x 14.20 m for the old prayer hall, ca. 4.00 x14.40 m for the riwāq (Ta‘an 2019); 14.4-14.36 m (N-S) x 9.86-9.88 m (E-W) (Khateb 2020).

Building Materials: Limestone, one isolated Roman Ionic capital (fig. 13.9).

Preservation: intact, still in use for Muslim prayer.

Inscription(s): The original Arabic inscription mentioned by G. Schumacher (Steuernagel 1927) is not preserved.

Date(s): Possibly Ayyubid-Mamluk in origin (plan of “Remūn-type”) with several later restorations.

Traveler Reports: “Im westlichen Ortsteil liegt eine Mo schee, deren Türsturz eine Inschrift aufwies, die jedoch abgewittert oder abgehauen ist...” (Steuernagel 1927)
