Plan: square, praying hall with miḥrāb in qibla (S) wall (Rjoub - Housam 2013).

Measurements: 100 m2

Exterior: 10 x 10 m (Rjoub - Housan 2013).

Interior: unknown.

Building Materials: basalt, floor out of mud (Rjoub - Housan 2013). local yellowish-brown limestone, most of the massive, well-dressed blocks of pre-Islamic origin.

Construction details: post and beam roof system (Rjoub - Housan 2013).

Preservation: badly demolished by recent treasure hunters: The building has been dug down to the foundation levels which seem to be Hellenistic or Roman. The Weli is overshadowed by two old oak trees and surrounded by a large number of Muslim tombs, two of them seem to be very recent. Uphill a number of buildings of Islamic times, most of them houses with cave cellars. At one point is an accumulation of upright standing ancient column drums of limestone.

Date(s): Ayyubid-Mamluk (Rjoub - Housan 2013).

Traveler Reports: none known (Steuernagel 1927 mentions the site without making reference to the maqām.
