Plan: broad rectangular with entrance in N (?), miḥrāb in S wall; paved space in front of N wall; surrounded by a cemetery.

Measurements: 70 m² (Rjoub – Housan 2013).

Exterior: ca.7 x 10 m Rjoub – Housan 2013).

Interior: Thickness of N wall 3 feed = ca. 1.20 m.

Building Materials: limestone rusticated ashlars of early Roman origin.

Construction details: spoils sitting on coarse field stone foundations. The thickness of the long walls indicates a barrel-vaulted roof. The miḥrāb was flanked on both sides with upright standing stones (orthostates). In the interior and along the exterior N wall remains of a stone pavement.

Preservation: ruined, in 2018 only the foundation stones preserved. The W-wall foundations, about 1.50 m thick, consist of three rows of coarse field stones.

Date(s): Ayyubid-Mamluk (Rjoub – Housan 2013).

Traveler Reports: „Am nordöstlichen Fuß des Bergkegels liegt eine dschāmi‘ (Taf. 44A) mit miḥrāb im Osten (!) sowie Tür und Vorhof im Norden. Der Bau ist ausgeführt aus mächtigen Quadern mit verkröpften Bossen, an denen der Schlag mit dem Zahnmeißel und dem Scharriereisen geführt ist; einige Bossen sind abgeebnet, andere mit dem Spitzmeißel behandelt und roh. Die Bauart ist völlig anders als die der Burg; die Bossenquader deuten auf ein zugrunde liegendes römisches Bauwerk“ (Steuernagel 1927).
