Plan: The maqām consists of a natural cave with the tomb of the prophet and a small humble mosque of square plan of recent date. The entrance of the cave has been captured in that time by a whitewashed staircase of cement (Hiyyari 2008).

Building Materials: concrete and wall plaster.

Preservation: both the cave and the mosque are intact and frequently visited by pilgrims.

Date(s): The cave has a tradition which goes back into pre-Islamic times. The ensemble has been modified around the mid of the 20th century in the fashion design and construction techniques of that time.
