Plan: The old mosque was overbuilt by a new concrete skeleton construction in 1995 and a larger mosque has
been built at the same time in the immediate vicinity.

Construction details: The mosque mentioned by G. Schumacher was an “old vaulted construction” (Steuernagel
1927).
Preservation: The new building which replaced the ancient mosque is currently used as a muṣallā for women
prayer.
Inscription(s): A new information sign reports that the old mosque had been restored in H 1338 / AD 1920.
Date(s): Late Ottoman or early Hashemite.
Traveler Reports: “...es (scil.: Dēr ‘Abī Sa‘īd) ist sehr weitläufig gebaut, zählt in drei Ortsteilen 80 Hütten, hat
eine dschâmi‘, einen alten Kuppelbau, der an einer Quelle steht” (Steuernagel 1927).
