Preservation: A maqām / Weli of Shēkh ‘Īsā az-Zu‘bī is not anymore known by the present inhabitants of the village. Several of them pointed out that the tomb of this venerated person today at nearby Kuffēn / Juffēn / az-Zo’ēbīye (no. 205). The only evidence for the location of the former maqām was a double chamber concrete building in the old cemetery E of the village (fig. 217.1), which could confirm in a way Schumacher’s notice. None of the interviewed persons dwelling in the closer environs of this cemetery, however, could neither confirm nor deny such a hypothetical identification of this odd building. In its vandalized condition it does not show any evidence for a tomb or a miḥrāb. Also, there is no indication for an actual practice of a memorial cult of Shēkh ‘Īsā az-Zu‘bī at the site.
