Plan: The Christian Memorial of Moses on Mount Nebo does not avail on any Islamic architectural installation. The Islamic tradition locates the death of Mūsā with the view of the “promised land” on Tell Shiḥān (no. 354). The Mount Nebo memorial has been officially acknowledged in recent times by the Jordanian authorities as an Islamic maqām of prophet Mūsā.

Building Materials: limestone and travertine (for the Christian monuments). The memorial is famous for its splendid mosaic floors excavated by the Franciscan fathers of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum since the early 20th century.

Preservation: excavated and restored between 2010- 2018, accessible for visitors. The church is frequently used for Christian liturgies held by international pilgrim groups.
