Plan: Located in a cemetery which has been partly excavated to the N and the W of the mosque; broad rectangular with entrance (hypothetical) in the N; E wall destroyed, qibla S wall, miḥrāb projecting to the exterior.

Measurements: ca. 46 m2

Exterior: 11.5 x 4 m (Sari 1992).

Building Materials: partly well-dressed limestone blocks with mortar and plaster.

Construction details: masonry in horizontal courses; interior walls covered by two layers of plaster. The floor consists of two layers of mortar, the upper one has a thickness of 35 cm.

Preservation: excavated ruin, not in use for Muslim prayer.

Inscription(s): An inscription stone has been found during the excavation invoking “Allāh - Muḥammed;” no facsimile nor photograph has been published.

Date(s): Only Roman and Byzantine pottery has been found inside the mosque. The finds in the surrounding cemetery (pottery, coins) attest an occupation of the site until the Ayyubid-Mamluk periods. Sari 1993 dates the mosque by the shape of the miḥrāb to the later Umayyad period = 72-132 H = 691-750 AD).
